If your baby is outside of that 6-15 day range when they’re still curled up like they’re in the womb, its OKAY! We can still do a session. This blog post highlights two little guys I had back to back sessions with who were both about a month old when they came in for their newborn portraits. While I do prefer the younger newborns, which is why its important to schedule your session while pregnant (and also, I really cannot guarantee availability last-minute as I end up turning away a ton of babies which I really don’t like to do!), sometimes the “older” newborns give us some really awesome images – like Landon, who actually DID froggy pose at 1 month old! Or like Princeton, who gave us potato sac with eyes WIDE OPEN (one of my all time favorite images) before falling asleep. So just remember, if you decide last minute to make the splurge on custom newborn portraits, if we can get you in, I PROMISE you’ll still have some AMAZING images and won’t regret the decision. Both these parents decided after the baby was born that they wanted to do the session and here’s what they both said –
