CT baby photographer | Itty Bitty Mini Moon Session Favorites!

If you’ve been to my studio, you know my laundry closet is down there too – which comes in handy for washing everything in between newborn sessions!…not that newborns ever have accidents in my studio! 😉 So one day, I was doing laundry and my tag-along 18-month daughter was down there with me exploring the studio nearly-naked, just dragging her favorite blankee around. She hopped up in the new moon prop Randy made me and so I RAN to grab her little lambie and my camera. I just LOVED the resulting image, capturing her baby innocence with her two favorite sleepy things: her lambie and blankee. I posted the image on a photography forum I’m part of and couldn’t believe the response from photographers LOVING the idea of a BIGGER moon prop (typically, they’re much smaller for newborns). I have had numerous inquiries to do more Mini Moon sessions so I will set another date later in the year when things aren’t so hectic. And for any of my upcoming clients having baby or child sessions, this prop is one you are absolutely welcome to incorporate into your studio photo shoot. Here are just a smattering of my favorites from the Itty Bitty Mini Moon Sessions a couple weeks ago – enjoy! xoxo, Saren.

43 today. I heard the other day that the average human lives 76 years. So throw back to when I was 38 and halfway thru… actually I’m just throwing it back to this BUCKETLIST family photoshoot at the salt flats on the border of Utah and Nevada a few years ago because it was my absolute FAVORITE family shoot of all time.

Here’s to hoping I get another 43 years with this fam-bam of mine. Thanks for being a part of this trip around the sun, everyone! 😘😘😘

Beach sessions on the CT shore are gorgeous. No shoes required, flowey light wardrobe and light colors that match any room in your home when framed …. They’re simply the BEST!

Thursday is the drop of the OUTDOOR SCHEDULE to subscribers and I always book up these very limited spots. So I’m featuring all my favorite locations this weekend and this week leading up to the big Thursday drop so you can all be thinking about WHERE you’d like your family photos to be this year if you’re opting for an outdoor session.

This family went for a gorgeous formal look for their city sesh and I love how it looks with the formality of the building! This location would ALSO look fab with pale neutrals for wardrobe that tie in nicely to the white columns.
