Family Newborn Photography: Miss Emily turns 6 months old!

Family Newborn Photography: Today we’re featuring one of my favorite fall sessions from last autumn: Miss Emily’s 6-month milestone session. I had the honor of photographing her at just a few HOURS old in the hospital and then a few WEEKS old when I went to visit her for the first time IN her home for a lifestyle newborn session earlier in the year and was only too excited to see them again for her 6-month milestone in the fall!

I remember the night like it was yesterday: the weather was PERFECT. Sunny and warm and clear skies! But Miss Emily wasn’t sure she wanted photos taken that evening! She took one look at me and decided she wasn’t a fan anymore hehehe. Luckily, mom and dad soothed her for awhile and about 30 minutes into the session, she was able to relax a bit more with me and we started and had THE MOST GORGEOUS sun-drenched session EVER! I always joke “I’m really patient with everyone else’s kids – way more than my own.”

Here’s a sweet before and after from just 6 months time, proving why its so important to capture that mid-year milestone whenever possible! They grow SO FAST and their personalities are bubbling at this sitting-up milestone age!
