I would like to nominate Jessica Lawlor -due date April 4th. Jessica worked at the daycare my children attended. She has always had this amazing warmth to her whereby children gravitate to her. She was always kind, caring, thoughtful and reliable, fun and funny!! My daughter Natalie never wanted to go home when I picked her up. She wanted more time with Miss Jessica when she 2. She was the only teacher my daughter responded to like this. To this day my children still think of her and light up when they see her. She is a special person who is so deserving of this opportunity.

I would like to nominate my daughter in law Kamila Sadowski who is due January 26th. I am very happy to see my son starting a family with such a wonderful woman as Kamila. The love and respect they have for each other is just inspiring. Being a mother it is a pleasure for me to watch them go through life together with a smile on their faces and always holding hands. First dating, then engagement followed by a beautiful wedding and now having a baby. They are also giving me one of the most beautiful gifts one can ever receive my first grandchild- baby boy Jakob. Jessica Consolini Lawlor and Justin Lawlor are expecting a girl! On April 4th, Charlotte Noelle will be welcomed into the world with smiles, tears, and parents that truly love her. While I haven’t seen Jessica act as a mother, I know her character to be patient. I’ve watched her deal calmly with people that others blew up at, and blew off. I know her character to be loving. I’ve seen her time and time again set herself aside to work with and minister to people that she loves. I know her character to be diligent. While holding a normal job she went to school and excelled! I know her character to be compassionate. I’ve seen her, even amidst a busy schedule stop and talk to people having a rough day.

Ola Blackmer and her SECOND baby GIRL coming July!! Up until today we all waited in suspense as to what she is going to have, and she facetimed me a couple of minutes ago sharing the wonderful news!! I am voting for the lovely Mrs. Emily Emmons. Emily’s due date is April 20th, and I am excited for her, Jeremy and Gunnar, who is getting himself a little sister! Emily is just the sweetest, most loving mother who has been through a lot lately. She and her husband and son had moved to the west coast with the intention of finding work and a starting their life there, and then returned to Connecticut to live. I am nominating Kennth Blackmer, his wife Ola Blackmer and baby #2 due in July. I was Kenny’s bus driver when he was in elementary school. Although I might sound old he is only 29 🙂 He was always such an adventurous young boy, never stopped moving. I got the pleasure of meeting their daughter Izabela, and I have to say she is totally a mini version of Kenny. I had met Ola on their wedding day and she was radiating in beauty. She went out of her way to make her guests feel welcome, connecting with everyone. They have done so much for each other, their daughter, friends and family. This gift would be a blessing. I am nominating my friend Kamila Sadowski, whose due date is January 26, 2017. I have known Kamila since 2013. Our relationship began with her being a babysitter to my three daughters. Within that first year of knowing her, Kamila has shown us what an amazing caregiver and person that she is. My children warmed up to her immediately. She is engaging, affectionate, genuine, honest, caring, intelligent, and so extremely hardworking. After completing her studies, Kamila began working full time during the week, and still managed to continue to help us on weekends and on occasional weeknights with our girls. The care and love that she gave to our family was and is unforgettable. We quickly became friends. In 2015, Kamila married an equally wonderful man, whose personality complements Kamila’s in every way. They are a loving and generous couple. At times, when we had to be away from home and our own immediate family refused our requests for help, this amazing couple cared for our canine son, even when Copper’s health was failing and he could not control his bodily functions. Caring for Copper was nearly like caring for a newborn, i.e., sleepless nights to take him outside to do his duty multiple times a night. My husband and I will forever be grateful to them for that sacrifice they made to give Copper comfort. We have tremendous respect for Kamila, and consider her a role model for our young daughters. She has shown strong work ethic, demonstrated good morals, is beautiful, and has a great outlook on life. Kamila is very patient, giving and nurturing. She will be a wonderful mother when that day comes. I truly hope she wins the opportunity to chronicle the beginning of her motherhood with your artistic photography. ReplyCancel
I vote for Stephanie Underwood. She has had many challenges throughout the course of her second pregnancy but she has never lost faith or her smile. Even with many hospital visits, bedrest and sick days, she has managed to continue being a wonderful mother to her sweet two year old daughter and has remained a good friend. Jessica is, in my estimation, most deserving of this giveaway. She has been a tirelessm uncomplaining mother-to-be, nanny and future nurse! She has a generous spirit and her kindness is felt in every encounter; I admire her indefatigable energy while she tackles a very challenging spring. Kenny & Ola Blackmer get my vote. I have known Kenny since high school. He was been one of my closest friends. Him and his wife are so caring and were always there for me and my family in times of need. They both extended their sorrows and kept checking up on me when my father had a heart attack and then ended up with pneumonia after his admission. My wife Kate is expected to deliver the last week of March 2017. This date was pushed up from the original date of May 2nd due to a condition called Vasa Previa which is equivalent to a ticking time bomb for a fetus. This will be our second child and our first pregnancy was a breeze. I am sure you can imagine my wife’s disappointment when we received this news. The hardest part for my wife is dealing with the news that due to her Multiple Sclerosis she will have to be fully sedated during her c section and will not get to meet our new child until she wakes up and the child is all set up in the NICU. My wife is the most amazing mother to our soon to be two year old, is an amazing wife and a dedicated and loving second grade teacher. She is so selfless and giving and continually maintains her students and family in the center of her world even while battling MS. I want to win this so that my wife can look back at the beautiful photos of our newborn and think of how blessed and lucky we are instead of thinking about the bumpy road, uncertainty, and struggles we faced before our baby made an appearance in this world. I nominate my dear friend Vanessa McFadden who is due March 8th. I have known Vanessa for many years and am happy to say I have had the privilege of also working along side her through these years. She is an extremely hard working woman always putting those around her first. Working long days and nights with no complaints, only to make everyone else feel better about themselves. Unfortunately she has had to overcome many hardships throughout her life but has always managed to keep her head up high and most importantly her family afloat. Ok I am nominating my sweet friend Dorie Seger, she is due March 24, 2017!
This is her third baby, a sweet boy! She has two little girls and is also a stepmom to her boyfriends two kids, son and daughter. Dorie is selfless and takes such good care of her kiddos! She is such a hard worker , she’s been a single Mom since her older daughter was born…until she met John. They are an amazing couple and had their sweet little girl and now expecting a son! Dorie is such an advocate for wellness and healthy eating/ excercise! You should see her working out 7 months preg, she’s so strong and determined and beautiful!
Last month when my sister in law, who is a single mom- was giving birth, I was at the hospital w her, Dorie messaged me and I told her what was going on Dorie organized a ton of donations for my sister in law that had nothing, my entire mini van was filled w baby supplies! Dorie told me she knew what it was like to be a single mom w nothing, I too was in that same position. So Dorie blew us away w love and support. With a huge heart and smile, her and her boyfriend don’t have a ton of extra stuff but she gave some of her own baby stuff away being preg herself to help out. Her Boyfriend John just finished nursing school, she has been there to support and love him through out his journey!
Dorie lost her sister a year ago, heartbreaking. I know she takes her sisters kids too sometimes and they have sleepovers, she is a fun and loving Aunty to her niece and nephew that will never see their Mama again.
Dorie is a grounded, down to earth, spiritual, motivated, selfless, loving, compassionate, and doesn’t take one second of life for granted!
She’s not a fancy Avon Mom… But I love her so much and she has been through allot, esp w her sister passing and always hanging on and getting through being a single Mama. What a blessing this would be for her and John, for her to feel special and loved.

My granddaughter Ola Blackmer gets my vote. Ola is expecting her second baby in July. She is a gentle, kind-hearted, and warm mom to my great-granddaughter, Izabela. Ola works so hard at work, working long hours treating many patients everyday followed by the long trail of paperwork that she has to complete before the day is over. She then comes home and devotes every second to her husband and daughter. Her energy drives her to be the wonderful mother that she is today. I am voting for my nephew Kenny and Ola Blackmer. I have seen my nephew grow up from a little boy playing with fire trucks and ambulances into a young man who quickly matured and became a role model to his peers. He joined the Air Force and served his country for six years and would have continued if he had not hurt his back. He could not have found a better match than Ola. They have similar personalities, goal driven, determined, passionate, and inspiring. They both have similar likes (the medical field, country music, etc.) and dislikes. I would like to nominate my loving wife, Kamila Sadowski,
for your beautiful newborn session. Ever since we found out that she was
pregnant (39 weeks ago, and counting), she has been talking about having a
newborn session for our son. I hope that I can convince someone that Kami is
the person that deserves this session the most. I have never met anyone that is
so passionate about life and striving to be the best person possible. Kami is
very family oriented and I am convinced that she will be the best mom in the
world. In fact, the house is already turning into Jakub’s castle. There are

Kamila and I met as Au pairs almost 6 years ago. The fact that she decided to be an au pair, shows how much she loves kids. She still cares about her hostchildern and loves them as they were her own. How much she loves kids,as all others here do, doesnt need to be discussed, That is self evident (for her), for she decided to found a family and give a little Sadowski place in his new home and in her heart.
One thing about Kamila, that makes her unique is that she is passionate with everything and always gives her best. If she does something she does it 100 percent. Kamila met her husband in America and as passionate she is ( she is always all in, especially with her heart) she chose to leave her family and friends behind in Poland and moved to the love of her life Rafal Sadowski, who became a good friend of mine too. I am so proud of her how she manages everything there and never loses faith. She is the one who deserves a reward, a reward for her as a loving friend and loving mother.

I’m voting for Ola Blackmer and her family. I have known Ola since she was a little girl going to kindergarten with my nephew. I’ve seen her grow up into a beautiful woman. She would come to every family gathering we had and I have always considered her family. She would always come with a smile and a big appetite. I am so proud of her. Not many people can say they have made their dreams come true, but she is one of them! She has worked so hard to become a physician assistant (her DREAM job). They had a small backyard wedding at their parents house, with minimal decor, soft tuned music, and a small sweet cake. I would like to nominate my amazing sister Jessica Lawlor! She is due April 4th and is about to be an awesome first time mom! She started babysitting when she was about 12 years old and adores children. I know giving birth to this beautiful baby girl will be the best day of my sisters life, because she has such a special bond with children and having one of her own..need less to say, that child will truly be blessed. I nominate my PA school buddy Ola Blackmer! I met Ola while we were going through PA school together, meeting through mutual friends. Ola is smart, caring, and serving. There were many nights where we spent writing up study guides, quizzing each other, and working on projects together. She always had a positive outlook on everything. At times, before certain exams she would give the class some words of encouragement before we all started. She wanted everyone in our class to succeed and she never thought only about herself. I thought she was crazy to have a baby during PA school, but I knew she was going to be able to handle it. On our last day, she brought her cute little Izabela and I instantly fell in love. Ola Blackmer and her baby coming in July!! I have known Ola since we worked together as partners working as EMT’s. I had just graduated the EMT program and I was so nervous to begin working, but Ola helped me transition in. I would like to nominate my beautiful daughter Kamila Sadowski that is due January 26th. She is my middle child that I used to call a trouble maker. Always full of life, ideas, seeking adventures, but also having this incredibly warm heart and willingness to help others. As a mother I could not be more proud of her. She travelled across the sea to find her other half and start a family on the other side of the globe. Even though I miss her so much I am extremely happy to see she has found the love of her life. She is married to a wonderful man, Rafal, and together they are not just a perfect match, but also great partners and team workers. They both work in health care profession and their dedication, caring for others and big heart can be seen wherever they go. Kami also attends school. I am astonished how they can work full time, attend college (while pregnant), start a family and stillI have time to take care of their relationship. I just cannot think of anyone more deserving than them. The distance between me and my daughter did not change anything, however I wish I could see her more often, stop by to have a cup of coffee or very soon just hold my grandson Jakob. I want to nominate my dearest friends Ola and Kenny Blackmer. They both are unbelievably amazing parents to their daughter Izabela and will be to their second baby coming in July. They have so much love for each other, their daughter, and their precious creation that is growing inside of her! Greetings! My name is Kristen Hart, and I am so blessed to have the privilege of nominating my smart, capable, loving and beautiful daughter, Emily Emmons and I would like to add her husband, Jeremy (he’s the best son-in-law!). First, I would like to say I was introduced to Saren Cassotto’s work through supporting last year’s winner (a mom and family so selfless and deserving!) and I could not have imagined any photographer capturing such expressive photographs – they were so beautifully done, reflecting the essence of what makes this family so precious. Her work is awesome and so is her give back to the community ethic, I enjoyed reading the blog posts and wish the best to all the amazing expectant mothers!
My daughter Emily is expecting her second child (a girl!) on April 20th, and I simply can’t wait for her to arrive! My grandson, who is eight years old, is positively bubbling with enthusiasm over the prospect of becoming a big brother. He will do very well, as he has learned to love, care and value people from his mom and dad. Over the last five years, I have had serious health challenges. As happens in life, I went from the person who does everything to the person who needs everything to be done for them. I had to give up working, caring for my grandson while my daughter and her husband worked and pursued finishing their degrees, and all the other exhausting stuff I loved to do as a wife, mother and grandmother. It was hard for me, I felt useless. Harder still for my family I know, but they were equal to the challenge. My precious daughter shouldered much of the changes; she cooks, and cleans, and shops and takes care of everyone. She brings me to all my medical visits, and does all she can to make my life better. Trips to Yale? No problem. Therapy three times a week? Let’s go Mom, and then I’ll bring you to lunch. Another surgery? Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything. Here Mom, I made you a super juice maybe it will help you feel better. Special treatments in New Jersey? Sure, she’ll drive me there twice a week, even though it’s summer and she should be making memories with her son, who isn’t thrilled about spending five hours in a car and two more in a boring hospital. I can’t express how it felt as she patiently explained this is what we do for people we love; but more importantly, she is showing him. And her husband? Well don’t worry honey I’ll make supper, it’ll be ready when you get home, and sure I’ll do whatever chore it is you weren’t able to get to today.
I can tell you with certainty there is no better accomplishment in this life than seeing a child you raised become an amazing human being. My daughter and her husband met in college, and became pregnant with my grandson in their sophomore year. My husband and I were worried about their future; my daughter assured me Jeremy was a keeper. We weren’t so sure at first, but knew we had done our best to raise a capable woman and made a conscious decision to trust her judgement. She was right. When my grandson was born, they were struggling just to make ends meet; a newborn photography session was an unobtainable dream. How wonderful a gift it would be if Saren Cassotto captured the essence of this precious family.

I’ve known Vanessa (V) since my first day of kindergarten, when we bonded over cowgirl boots in gym class. She was nice to the new girl in school who had just moved and had no friends yet.
She is still that person. Sadly, she has had multiple miscarriages over the years but has recently been blessed with this wonderful pregnancy. She works as an aesthetician, so she spends her days taking care of everyone else. She doesn’t complain. She doesn’t ask anyone for anything. She is kind and generous through and through. I would love nothing more but to nominate my best friend Ola Blackmer!!! We met in college and we were instantly drawn to each other since we had similar likes and interests. We were never roommates although we wished we were. I remember getting the phone call with her first pregnancy and screaming over the telephone in excitement. I went out and bought a ton of stuff for her daughter, I kinda had to limit myself. Now, she is pregnant again and I couldn’t be any happier for her. She is an amazing mom. She does so much with her daughter, brining her to gymnastics, teaching her polish, reading stories every night, etc. and she will do nothing less with her baby due in July. I nominate myself Tara Delap and my loving boyfriend matt Hiller. Life is full of ups and downs, the trick is to enjoy the ups and have courage during the downs. This is something we have both believed in. We have suffered the loss of a baby, the loss of our 13 year old dog, and my mom being diagnosed with cancer. There is a unique pain that comes from preparing a place in your heart for a child that never comes home. I carried her/him every second of there life and I will love them for every second of mine. Happy endings come after a story with lots of ups and always downs. Today and for the rest of our life’s we will have ups and downs no matter what life hits us with. True love stands by each others side on good days and stands even closer on bad days. I would like to nominate one of my very dearest friends, Tiffany Centrella. At the age of 18 years old she became critically ill and ended up being diagnosed with systemic lupus. The doctors told her that she may never be able to conceive a child. So becoming pregnant and due mid July with a healthy baby girl, at age 35, was a much deserved miracle! Tiffany has also experienced some personal family traumas that made it very difficult for her to see the light at the end of the tunnel. At one point happiness just seemed very distant and almost unreachable. However, 1 year ago she met up with an old friend and in him she found happiness! Sean is an amazing man and his love for Tiffany is something you rarely see. He took my once broken friend and brought a life back into her that I can’t even explain! As someone mentioned in a previous post, it was not an easy journey for the expecting parents to be, to achieve this blessing of becoming pregnant. When Tara found out she was pregnant, a few days later her other baby, the other love of her life, her 12 year old dog passed away suddenly. Jessica is a very hard worker who has dedicated herself to caring for children of families that she used to teach all while going to school for a second degree in nursing. Her schedule is filled constantly with nanny jobs all over the Hartford and Litchfield county. Every child that she cares for loves her and calls her a second mother or a loving friend, and that goes for the parents as well. Hello my name is Stephanie Thibault. I am nominating myself. I am a police officer and my significant other works for DOT. My family has been through a lot in 2016. My significant other and The father of my daughter due March 3rd 2017, lost his mother on February 9th 2016. She lost her battle to a sudden illness and took her at a young age. This of course was traumatic for the entire family. On top of it my parents went through a bad divorce and my mother left my father and she unexpectedly walked out of our lives. Shortly after all of this happened, it was like a blessing from God. My significant other, Levi, and myself found out we were unexpectantly expecting and it was a little girl. We both lost our mothers and I feel god had this planned the entire time and she has brought nothing. It joy and happyness to my father and his (being the first grandchild for both families). Starting a grueling accelerated nursing program last January, getting married in June, and now embarking on her last semester of nursing school while being in her last trimester; having to give birth and come right back to school (both with our 3 classes and clinicals on top of it) is going to take extreme strength, support, and encouragement! I know she can do it, but with everything that has occurred in such a short period of time, this giveaway would be such a relief and an incredible gift to such a strong woman with an immense amount of support from her new family, her Nursing family, and her friends!

I would love my wife and I to win this photography session because my wife would love nothing more than to capture our baby’s newborn moments because as we all know they grow so fast. My wife deserves to win because she is the rock to our family. She has dedicated the past two years furthering her career. She has endured the hardest two years of her life going through a physician assistant program so that our family could grow. It was a very stressful time academically as well as financially. I was supporting our family off of one income working 80 hours a week just to get by, while my wife was continuously taking out school loans so that she could continue with the program. We were pleasantly surprised to find out we were pregnant with our first daughter, and we were over joyed but also nervous as to how we were going to manage with my wife completing her clinical rotations. It was a hard year for my wife and I, but I would not change it for a second because she just graduated in August, and has been dedicating every minute to our family and furthering her knowledge while working as a PA. Unfortunately, we were not able to have our first daughter photographed because we were unable to financially, and this opportunity is BIG for us! My wife is such a caring, hard working, determined, and dedicated woman and I would love nothing more than to surprise her with a newborn package if we won. So throw back to when I was 38 and halfway thru… actually I’m just throwing it back to this BUCKETLIST family photoshoot at the salt flats on the border of Utah and Nevada a few years ago because it was my absolute FAVORITE family shoot of all time.
Here’s to hoping I get another 43 years with this fam-bam of mine. Thanks for being a part of this trip around the sun, everyone! 😘😘😘

Jessica Consolini Lawlor and Justin Lawlor are expecting a girl! On April 4th, Charlotte Noelle will be welcomed into the world with smiles, tears, and parents that truly love her. While I haven’t seen Jessica act as a mother, I know her character to be patient. I’ve watched her deal calmly with people that others blew up at, and blew off. I know her character to be loving. I am nominating my friend Kamila Sadowski, whose due date is January 26, 2017. I have known Kamila since 2013. Our relationship began with her being a babysitter to my three daughters. Within that first year of knowing her, Kamila has shown us what an amazing caregiver and person that she is. My children warmed up to her immediately. She is engaging, affectionate, genuine, honest, caring, intelligent, and so extremely hardworking. After completing her studies, Kamila began working full time during the week, and still managed to continue to help us on weekends and on occasional weeknights with our girls. The care and love that she gave to our family was and is unforgettable. We quickly became friends. In 2015, Kamila married an equally wonderful man, whose personality complements Kamila’s in every way. They are a loving and generous couple. At times, when we had to be away from home and our own immediate family refused our requests for help, this amazing couple cared for our canine son, even when Copper’s health was failing and he could not control his bodily functions. Caring for Copper was nearly like caring for a newborn, i.e., sleepless nights to take him outside to do his duty multiple times a night. My husband and I will forever be grateful to them for that sacrifice they made to give Copper comfort. We have tremendous respect for Kamila, and consider her a role model for our young daughters. She has shown strong work ethic, demonstrated good morals, is beautiful, and has a great outlook on life. Kamila is very patient, giving and nurturing. I vote for Stephanie Underwood. She has had many challenges throughout the course of her second pregnancy but she has never lost faith or her smile. Even with many hospital visits, bedrest and sick days, she has managed to continue being a wonderful mother to her sweet two year old daughter and has remained a good friend. My wife Kate is expected to deliver the last week of March 2017. This date was pushed up from the original date of May 2nd due to a condition called Vasa Previa which is equivalent to a ticking time bomb for a fetus. This will be our second child and our first pregnancy was a breeze. I am sure you can imagine my wife’s disappointment when we received this news. The hardest part for my wife is dealing with the news that due to her Multiple Sclerosis she will have to be fully sedated during her c section and will not get to meet our new child until she wakes up and the child is all set up in the NICU. My wife is the most amazing mother to our soon to be two year old, is an amazing wife and a dedicated and loving second grade teacher. She is so selfless and giving and continually maintains her students and family in the center of her world even while battling MS. I want to win this so that my wife can look back at the beautiful photos of our newborn and think of how blessed and lucky we are instead of thinking about the bumpy road, uncertainty, and struggles we faced before our baby made an appearance in this world. This is her third baby, a sweet boy! She has two little girls and is also a stepmom to her boyfriends two kids, son and daughter. Dorie is selfless and takes such good care of her kiddos! She is such a hard worker , she’s been a single Mom since her older daughter was born…until she met John. They are an amazing couple and had their sweet little girl and now expecting a son! Last month when my sister in law, who is a single mom- was giving birth, I was at the hospital w her, Dorie messaged me and I told her what was going on Dorie organized a ton of donations for my sister in law that had nothing, my entire mini van was filled w baby supplies! Dorie told me she knew what it was like to be a single mom w nothing, I too was in that same position. So Dorie blew us away w love and support. With a huge heart and smile, her and her boyfriend don’t have a ton of extra stuff but she gave some of her own baby stuff away being preg herself to help out. Her Boyfriend John just finished nursing school, she has been there to support and love him through out his journey!
Dorie lost her sister a year ago, heartbreaking. I know she takes her sisters kids too sometimes and they have sleepovers, she is a fun and loving Aunty to her niece and nephew that will never see their Mama again.
Dorie is a grounded, down to earth, spiritual, motivated, selfless, loving, compassionate, and doesn’t take one second of life for granted!

My granddaughter Ola Blackmer gets my vote. Ola is expecting her second baby in July. She is a gentle, kind-hearted, and warm mom to my great-granddaughter, Izabela. I am voting for my nephew Kenny and Ola Blackmer. I have seen my nephew grow up from a little boy playing with fire trucks and ambulances into a young man who quickly matured and became a role model to his peers. He joined the Air Force and served his country for six years and would have continued if he had not hurt his back. He could not have found a better match than Ola. They have similar personalities, goal driven, determined, passionate, and inspiring. They both have similar likes (the medical field, country music, etc.) and dislikes. Kamila and I met as Au pairs almost 6 years ago. The fact that she decided to be an au pair, shows how much she loves kids. She still cares about her hostchildern and loves them as they were her own. How much she loves kids,as all others here do, doesnt need to be discussed, That is self evident (for her), for she decided to found a family and give a little Sadowski place in his new home and in her heart.
One thing about Kamila, that makes her unique is that she is passionate with everything and always gives her best. If she does something she does it 100 percent. Kamila met her husband in America and as passionate she is ( she is always all in, especially with her heart) she chose to leave her family and friends behind in Poland and moved to the love of her life Rafal Sadowski, who became a good friend of mine too. I nominate my PA school buddy Ola Blackmer! I met Ola while we were going through PA school together, meeting through mutual friends. Ola is smart, caring, and serving. There were many nights where we spent writing up study guides, quizzing each other, and working on projects together. She always had a positive outlook on everything. At times, before certain exams she would give the class some words of encouragement before we all started. She wanted everyone in our class to succeed and she never thought only about herself. I thought she was crazy to have a baby during PA school, but I knew she was going to be able to handle it. On our last day, she brought her cute little Izabela and I instantly fell in love. I would like to nominate my beautiful daughter Kamila Sadowski that is due January 26th. She is my middle child that I used to call a trouble maker. Always full of life, ideas, seeking adventures, but also having this incredibly warm heart and willingness to help others. As a mother I could not be more proud of her. She travelled across the sea to find her other half and start a family on the other side of the globe. Even though I miss her so much I am extremely happy to see she has found the love of her life. She is married to a wonderful man, Rafal, and together they are not just a perfect match, but also great partners and team workers. They both work in health care profession and their dedication, caring for others and big heart can be seen wherever they go. Kami also attends school. First, I would like to say I was introduced to Saren Cassotto’s work through supporting last year’s winner (a mom and family so selfless and deserving!) and I could not have imagined any photographer capturing such expressive photographs – they were so beautifully done, reflecting the essence of what makes this family so precious. Her work is awesome and so is her give back to the community ethic, I enjoyed reading the blog posts and wish the best to all the amazing expectant mothers!
My daughter Emily is expecting her second child (a girl!) on April 20th, and I simply can’t wait for her to arrive! My grandson, who is eight years old, is positively bubbling with enthusiasm over the prospect of becoming a big brother. He will do very well, as he has learned to love, care and value people from his mom and dad. Over the last five years, I have had serious health challenges. As happens in life, I went from the person who does everything to the person who needs everything to be done for them. I had to give up working, caring for my grandson while my daughter and her husband worked and pursued finishing their degrees, and all the other exhausting stuff I loved to do as a wife, mother and grandmother. It was hard for me, I felt useless. Harder still for my family I know, but they were equal to the challenge. My precious daughter shouldered much of the changes; she cooks, and cleans, and shops and takes care of everyone. She brings me to all my medical visits, and does all she can to make my life better. Trips to Yale? No problem. Therapy three times a week? Let’s go Mom, and then I’ll bring you to lunch. Another surgery? Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything. Here Mom, I made you a super juice maybe it will help you feel better. Special treatments in New Jersey? Sure, she’ll drive me there twice a week, even though it’s summer and she should be making memories with her son, who isn’t thrilled about spending five hours in a car and two more in a boring hospital. I can’t express how it felt as she patiently explained this is what we do for people we love; but more importantly, she is showing him. And her husband? Well don’t worry honey I’ll make supper, it’ll be ready when you get home, and sure I’ll do whatever chore it is you weren’t able to get to today.
I can tell you with certainty there is no better accomplishment in this life than seeing a child you raised become an amazing human being. My daughter and her husband met in college, and became pregnant with my grandson in their sophomore year. My husband and I were worried about their future; my daughter assured me Jeremy was a keeper. We weren’t so sure at first, but knew we had done our best to raise a capable woman and made a conscious decision to trust her judgement. She was right. When my grandson was born, they were struggling just to make ends meet; a newborn photography session was an unobtainable dream. How wonderful a gift it would be if Saren Cassotto captured the essence of this precious family.

I’ve known Vanessa (V) since my first day of kindergarten, when we bonded over cowgirl boots in gym class. She was nice to the new girl in school who had just moved and had no friends yet.
She is still that person. Sadly, she has had multiple miscarriages over the years but has recently been blessed with this wonderful pregnancy. She works as an aesthetician, so she spends her days taking care of everyone else. She doesn’t complain. She doesn’t ask anyone for anything. She is kind and generous through and through. I would love nothing more but to nominate my best friend Ola Blackmer!!! We met in college and we were instantly drawn to each other since we had similar likes and interests. We were never roommates although we wished we were. I remember getting the phone call with her first pregnancy and screaming over the telephone in excitement. I went out and bought a ton of stuff for her daughter, I kinda had to limit myself. Now, she is pregnant again and I couldn’t be any happier for her. She is an amazing mom. She does so much with her daughter, brining her to gymnastics, teaching her polish, reading stories every night, etc. and she will do nothing less with her baby due in July. I nominate myself Tara Delap and my loving boyfriend matt Hiller. Life is full of ups and downs, the trick is to enjoy the ups and have courage during the downs. This is something we have both believed in. We have suffered the loss of a baby, the loss of our 13 year old dog, and my mom being diagnosed with cancer. There is a unique pain that comes from preparing a place in your heart for a child that never comes home. I carried her/him every second of there life and I will love them for every second of mine. Happy endings come after a story with lots of ups and always downs. Today and for the rest of our life’s we will have ups and downs no matter what life hits us with. True love stands by each others side on good days and stands even closer on bad days. I don’t know what I would do without the love this man gives me, but for now we can’t wait to me our little Ariel in June and experience a whole new level of love. I would like to nominate one of my very dearest friends, Tiffany Centrella. At the age of 18 years old she became critically ill and ended up being diagnosed with systemic lupus. The doctors told her that she may never be able to conceive a child. So becoming pregnant and due mid July with a healthy baby girl, at age 35, was a much deserved miracle! Tiffany has also experienced some personal family traumas that made it very difficult for her to see the light at the end of the tunnel. At one point happiness just seemed very distant and almost unreachable. However, 1 year ago she met up with an old friend and in him she found happiness! Sean is an amazing man and his love for Tiffany is something you rarely see. He took my once broken friend and brought a life back into her that I can’t even explain! As someone mentioned in a previous post, it was not an easy journey for the expecting parents to be, to achieve this blessing of becoming pregnant. When Tara found out she was pregnant, a few days later her other baby, the other love of her life, her 12 year old dog passed away suddenly. Jessica is a very hard worker who has dedicated herself to caring for children of families that she used to teach all while going to school for a second degree in nursing. Hello my name is Stephanie Thibault. I am nominating myself. I am a police officer and my significant other works for DOT. My family has been through a lot in 2016. My significant other and The father of my daughter due March 3rd 2017, lost his mother on February 9th 2016. She lost her battle to a sudden illness and took her at a young age. This of course was traumatic for the entire family. On top of it my parents went through a bad divorce and my mother left my father and she unexpectedly walked out of our lives. Shortly after all of this happened, it was like a blessing from God. My significant other, Levi, and myself found out we were unexpectantly expecting and it was a little girl. We both lost our mothers and I feel god had this planned the entire time and she has brought nothing. It joy and happyness to my father and his (being the first grandchild for both families). I would love my wife and I to win this photography session because my wife would love nothing more than to capture our baby’s newborn moments because as we all know they grow so fast. My wife deserves to win because she is the rock to our family. She has dedicated the past two years furthering her career. She has endured the hardest two years of her life going through a physician assistant program so that our family could grow. It was a very stressful time academically as well as financially. I was supporting our family off of one income working 80 hours a week just to get by, while my wife was continuously taking out school loans so that she could continue with the program. We were pleasantly surprised to find out we were pregnant with our first daughter, and we were over joyed but also nervous as to how we were going to manage with my wife completing her clinical rotations. It was a hard year for my wife and I, but I would not change it for a second because she just graduated in August, and has been dedicating every minute to our family and furthering her knowledge while working as a PA. Unfortunately, we were not able to have our first daughter photographed because we were unable to financially, and this opportunity is BIG for us! Laurabeth Nickerson April, 2017. My little sister has the most genuine, beautiful, caring soul. Babies have always been drawn to her and she is drawn to them. I think they can sense all of the good she exudes and we like to call her “the baby whisperer”. This will be her first child but I already know she is going to be the epitome of what a mother is. Kamila Sadowski is more than deserving of this sweet, meaningful gift. Her and her husband have a wonderful love story that is about to become even more wonderful with the birth of their first child, a son Jacob in the coming days. They both work full time and both go to college to better themselves for their son to be. This wonderful gift would allow them to share Jacob with their families in Poland.
