I met Carissa and her husband Jon when my husband was in the end stage of cancer and we were forced to sell our beloved home in Torrington and move to FL to be near family for his remaining time. Our home was more than a house it was where we were raising our children and our dreams for a future was in that home; unfortunately, that wasn’t going to happen for us, but it could for the beautiful couple that bought our home and knew they wanted to raise a family there. I would like to nominate my best friend, April Brackett Schumann. April gave birth to a PERFECT baby girl, Inza a week ago (1/30) and she has been in the NICU ever since. Inza is a strong little fighter and we are all incredibly hopeful that she will be coming home this weekend! April and her husband Doug had a very very long journey getting pregnant. This tiny human has literally been years in the making. Through many ups and unfortunately too many downs to think about, April never lost her positive attitude. She graciously watched the rest of her friends have babies and always showed them abundant love and never ending grace. As my little girl’s godmother, she treats her like she is her own child. I nominate Kaitlin Voglesong and her husband John. As with many moms and dads of this generation they daily do a juggling act of caring for their children wonderfully, performing at the highest level in their professions, caring for their two dogs and all the unforseens that happen during their busy days. Are they frazzled at times? Sure, but most dayS they are enjoying life at its fullest. They offer their children much love but also instill in them a sense of adventure, curiosity and wonder. They add many life experiences which includes other members of their extended family as well. In today’s world having a strong extended family is so important. Hi Saren, I nominate my Aunt Meghan! She has recently given birth to her 6th child, Milo. She is THE BEST mama to my 6 little cousins, Rhys, Luca, Faith, Levi, (my Godson) Abel, and now baby Milo. My Aunt Meghan came into my life at an early age, and I can’t imagine life without her and my little cousins! Growing up, her and my uncle Wesley always made me feel so loved and I knew they’d be amazing parents. I never expected what was to come, they are better parents than I could ever describe. My little cousins mean so much to me and are the kindest souls you’ll ever meet and that is thanks to their parents without a doubt. Both work full-time jobs while going above and beyond for their 6 little children (their eldest being only 14 years old). I, truly, have never witnessed this kind of love and care. My aunt spends the day caring for my cousins until my uncle comes home from his job to then go on to work a night shift at a local restaurant. Everyday. Somehow she stills finds time in her busy schedule to be there for me as well! She is an inspiration to me and I could think of no one more deserving of this gift than her! My sister, Melissa Geraci is an extremely hard working Mom who is expecting her second child within the month! My sister, Lauren Bode, is due in May with her miracle baby – the one she never thought she’d have due to some fertility challenges that left her chances of conceiving slim to none. Beach sessions on the CT shore are gorgeous. No shoes required, flowey light wardrobe and light colors that match any room in your home when framed …. They’re simply the BEST!

Thursday is the drop of the OUTDOOR SCHEDULE to subscribers and I always book up these very limited spots. So I’m featuring all my favorite locations this weekend and this week leading up to the big Thursday drop so you can all be thinking about WHERE you’d like your family photos to be this year if you’re opting for an outdoor session.
This family went for a gorgeous formal look for their city sesh and I love how it looks with the formality of the building! This location would ALSO look fab with pale neutrals for wardrobe that tie in nicely to the white columns.
